In plain English: HouseholdOS helps your household stay organized. Your data is yours, you can leave and take it with you at any time, and we won't charge you without your say-so. The full terms are below.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Pcnaid Inc. ("Pcnaid", "we", "us") and govern your access to and use of the HouseholdOS website, applications and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use HouseholdOS
You must be at least 13 years old to create your own account. A household organizer who is a parent, guardian or other responsible adult may add children under 13 as managed members of their household. If you add a child, you confirm that you have the authority to do so and that you are responsible for their use of the Service and for any consent required by law.
2. Your household and account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- A household has an owner and members with different roles and permissions. The owner controls membership, roles and billing.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- Tell us promptly at our contact page if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or use the Service to harm or harass anyone;
- upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, resell or misrepresent the Service; or
- use the Service to store or share content you don't have the right to.
4. Your content and data
Everything you and your household add to HouseholdOS — tasks, events, notes, budgets, documents and the rest — is your content. You keep all rights to it. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, back up, process and display that content so we can operate the Service for you. You can export your household's data or delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Free plans are free to use within their stated limits.
- Family is a paid plan. Premium billing is being rolled out; we will never charge you without first collecting your payment details and your clear agreement to a plan and price.
- Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period you choose until you cancel. You can cancel any time, and your plan stays active through the end of the paid period.
- Prices, taxes and features may change; we'll give reasonable notice of material changes to paid plans before they affect you.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on trusted third parties (for example, cloud hosting, authentication, email and analytics providers) and may let you connect external tools such as calendars. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.
7. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep HouseholdOS available and reliable, but the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service, and will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
8. Disclaimers
HouseholdOS is a household organization tool. It is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, medical or tax advice, and its reminders and calculations are aids, not guarantees. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pcnaid will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you end, and we will handle your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms? Reach us through our contact page.
